Encouragement:
Who are your friends? I’ve been looking deeply into my friendships lately and who I have been spending my time with. In Nava Esther and Milena Ciciotti’s Bible study called “The Armor of God”, They speak about the importance of having friends that look like Jesus. Your friends are the people you are supposed to pour your heart to. Do they care about you? Do they pray for you? Do they try to be there for you in times of need? These are the questions you need to consider when you’re trying to figure out if someone is a friend or an acquaintance. Here is the thing, I am NOT a perfect friend. I am human and you are, too. But what I do know is that the people I truly call a friend are people who genuinely care about me and I them. Here is a story I would like you to look at.
Mark 2:3-11
Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus. Jesus healed the man because of his FRIENDS faith.
would your friends do this for you? if the question is no, maybe they aren’t considered a friend.
EASY DINNER!!!
I ALWAYS skim the web for the easiest recipes I can find. Don’t get me wrong, cooking is fun (even though I prefer to bake) but I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, a house, job, etc.. I don’t have the patience or time to be cooking immaculate food every night. Even though I skim the internet, there’s rarely any EASY ideas. So, after figuring it out myself, I am here to help you!
Here’s our dinner for the night that cost under $20!
I used the general idea from https://www.jocooks.com/recipes/salisbury-steak-meatballs-with-gravy-and-mashed-potatoes/ but, I added some easier ideas to make it quicker. So, for the recipe, go to that link. I only used the gravy recipe (I just used onion seasonings instead of the real onions). However, you must know that you will need general pantry ingredients like ketchup, butter, seasonings..
Salisbury Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes and Salad
Heres’s what I bought for the meal!
*HEB frozen meatballs
*Beef stock- for the homemade gravy
*Simply potatoes ( Premade potatoes)
*Garden Salad
What am I reading?
I am currently reading the book “The Thirteenth Tale” by Diane Setterfield and OMG! It has the creepy/mysterious vibe that I was wanting to read during this October season. I absolutely love reading books that fit the season and this book fits that theme without being too scary. To summarize, the key words to describe this book would be twins, ghosts, isolation, loss, etc. CHECK IT OUT! I am still reading so I can’t give a full review yet!
My Cozy Coffee Order:
I LOVE fall. But, to be frank, I don’t love a pumpkin spice latte (please don’t come at me). I lovvvveee pumpkin desserts but pumpkin drinks are a bit much for me. So, a fall drink I am currently loving is a….
Venti Iced Brown Shaken Espresso
Breve (half and half) instead of the oat milk
9 pumps of Brown Sugar (They are half pumps so it’s not too sweet)
Extra Cinnamon Powder.
YUM!
Well friends, that’s it for this blog!
Come back for the next! Thanks for being here.
XOXO
